Those P.E AA guns sure make a difference but the job of putting them together is so dreadful, i want to give it a try on something i'm doing right now i hope they come out as good as yours. Yubari is getting better and better keep it up.

Hello,

Thanks Jose and Martin.

I decided to change main and secondary batteries with better seen parts and put some small details on them. Replaced 140 mm Superfirings with Pitroad parts. 120mm HA gun came from Hasegawa Kinugasa's secondary battery cuz atm I don't have pitroads E6 :cry_3:
Meanwhile Hasegawa's new tooling Kinugasa seems really nice kit.

Hello,

I think I won't paint it for next two months if it goes like this way Quincy

Tried to update torpedo launchers combining them with Pitroad ones and few P.E parts :

This was the hardest part up to now for me. I burned almost five times more steel p.e railing than what I have on launchers  . I am also sharing this project with an another local website in Turkey, btw sorry for the Turkish currency on last image as reference source. It should be around 1 cent dimensions.

This is a stunning build. I've enjoyed all the in-progress pictures you've posted. Looking forward to more of the same.

Hello,

Many thanks Gordon,

I replaced main mast and build one with brass rods. I put rods to dremel in desired lenghts and sharpened edges and glued with cynoacr.

Bridge is more less ok. Changed some parts with pitroad and Added triangular perforate bars under watch tower. I hope, I am not boring any mates with frequent posts :eyes_spinning: I really need all constractive comments for stepping up in my first P.E. engagement.

Hi Serhan,

you are doing great and it's not boring at all to have regular posts on work in progress. I will definitely use them when I will build some day my Yubari kit.

cheers

Honestly, man, that is a seriously impressive piece of steel you're building. Just awesome work, man. I wish I had the cure for my BABS (Broke Arse Bastard Syndrome) so I could afford to develop a case of AMS (Advanced Modeller Syndrome).

Hi Serhan,

ship looks great so far. As you have started the painting, I was wondering which IJN grey you were intending to use.

According to John Snyder, HIJMS Yubari was painted in Sasebo Grey from 1923 to 01-1943 and then after a repair and refit at Yokosuka, ship was repainted with Yokosuka grey till her loss in April 1944.

cheers
