Sanding ModPodge

Hi Everyone,

I tried something. I put a coat of Modpodge on a part of the hull to have a durable finish (this ship will never goes to water). We are supose to be able to sand the product but it's very hard to obtain a smooth finish. Maybe the way I use to sand is wrong, I try 150 grip first but it does not work well.
Anyone have ever tried to sand ModPodge?

I use Mod Podge to fill seams and what not in 1/700 scale and wipe it clean with a damp clothe or sponge before it dries completely. It you are letting it build up and dry between coats then sanding with 150 grit (Pretty Course) I would think you need another skim coat over what you have done and drop down to 220-320-400 Wet/Dry Paper.

Skim coat agian and wet down with a damp sponge before it is drylet it dry and hit it with some 600 and then paint it.

Just my thoughts.
