Post by Hackbitus »

I'm looking for a book that documents the IJN ships that attacked Pearl Harbor.

Want to use it for reference, pictures, etc.

If you are looking for "A" book hat has lots of pictures you're out of luck. If you're looking for information in general I would suggest "The Pearl Harbor Papers: Inside the Japanese Plans" as a good start on the deeper technical side of the attack... "At Dawn We Slept" by Gordon Prange has a good amount of information on the buildup and attack as well as a wealth in the footnotes.

I can name a couple of books that will have a couple of distant to medium shots of the carriers, but there's not much out there other than the specialty books for a specific ship or class.

You might also check out the message boards at PearlHarborAttacked.com.
