It is possible that a resin company will produce this kit but not in the near future. It might take more than 2-3 years for the kit to be produced if it will ever be.

I hadn't thought of scratch building the small boats to go in the racks. I can probably find some good replicas. JAG, maybe. I like the one that they have that comes with the Forrest Sherman kit. It may not be the right kind, but I haven't studied which types of boats they are, yet.
The boats look like the ones on JAGs Sacramento. I haven t used them on my Sacramento. If they are the same i will send them to you in order to avoid scratchbuilding them.

Two of the boats look like utility boats just like the one in the main small boat cradle forward. One of these came with the kit and I have quite a few others on spare sprues.
The other looks like a gig like the JAG Forrest Sherman has. JAG's was white metal cast and is very nice! I have two resin ones, but they're aren't as detailed as the metal one. I may ask JAG for one of these when I order another kit from them (Sumner FRAM II maybe) and I also want to ask JAG for some life raft baskets for my Iowa like the ones that Tony Bunch used on his Iowa. He said the ones from the JAG Long Beach worked really well. The ones from the JAG Forrest Sherman would work as well, I think.
Carl, that Iowa of yours is looking better every time, especially that wooden deck!

Thanks, Orb! I am please with how the deck is turning out after scribing new lines in the deck where the kit depicted metal decks to be, but were actually wooden on the real Iowa.
Here is a new detail I add today. The bridge ribbons and awards. I couldn't wait to add them on. The decals just arrived, today.
Looking beautiful Carl, keep up the good work. I keep wanting to put a K on your name though, just a tendency of mine to lean towards German spellings in things at times I guess, that and a little pain delerium right now from the pain in my jaw. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive at the LHS, and my two additional ship kits that will be supplying parts for the build - an ARII Ticon and an ARII Sprucan, which I'll backdate to older fits - ABLs and Rail launchers, using the VLS mountings for my Mightier Mo build. I might convert some of the ABL's over to the Sprucan for an additional Firepower modification pre-VLS. Just a random thought of the moment.

Nektarios, excellent Kongo! For some strange reason I actually like their sloping aft decks. Looking forward to seeing an Atago, too. Also, shouldn't they both perhaps already be classified as cruisers because they are a little bigger than the Arleigh Burkes... In any case, nice looking ships.

They Might be... but Orb, this is the Japanese Marine Self Defense Force - They don't have Cruisers... they don't have Carriers... they just have Big Destroyers and Large, Flat-decked Side-bridged Helicopter Destroyers that happen to bear a striking resemblance to CVLs. They don't have anything but a really large fleet of destroyers, what are these cruisers and carriers you're talking about.

They arent classified as cruisers mainly for political reasons. Both of the Atago class are pretty much finished. Some minor details have to be added.

Ahh I really don't know what I was thinking when I suggested that! And funnily enough, I never noticed that even their new Hyuga is classified as a "helicopter destroyer"... those sneaky Japanese

I just found some information about the Japanese constitution and the agreement which explains some questions that I had concerning that...
