I had a chance today to flip through Steve Wiper's new Shipcraft book covering the Kongo class. I can highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who might have missed out on the old Warship Pictorial for the Kongos. The builder's showcase is superb, especially the photos of the marvelous 1/48 builders model of Kongo and a 1/150 Haruna after her final reconstruction. Anyone familiar with the Shipcraft series will know what to expect regarding class histories, kits, and accessory reviews.

I'm looking forward to getting mine in the next 48 hours. I do wish Hasegawa would reissue the 1/700 fulll hull versions of the class.
