I was trying to avoid my finals and found this.

I admit I haven't had time to read it yet, but wanted to save it so I could go back and see what it says... so I figured this would be a good place to note it, and see what you're responses are. Just from the title, I have a feeling it should be a ... "interesting" read.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Another revisionist mud-slinger, like the Roosevelt-let-PealHarbour-happen-crowd. Normal journalists watch the gutter and note every turd that floats by. Investigative journalists like these will gladly reach into the sludge and grope around for every fat lump of feces and rat carcass they can find.

Oh, I'm sure that in the bitter 1945-1946 winter conditions were appalling in Germany - they were all over Europe.

Note the use of capitals, usually a very good indication of the author tendency to scream and shout instead of reason and convince. Also note that he links the word 'Buchenwald' to a holocaust-denying blog.

Good advice, after I turn in my one due today I'll try to get to the article at work - from the sounds of it you guys must really enjoy it. My main problem with this is that some fanboy of the article was spreading it all over Yahoo Answers... I only recently became a member of that site, but have spent countless hours attempting to correct the atrocious errors so many are claiming as facts in the History department.

Eh, it wasn't quite as interesting as I'd hoped... but if anyone is looking for a good laugh (or possible stroke), you should check out Yahoo Answers.

I've been trying to correct most of these things on there, but I'm only one person. My roommate and friends have started making fun of me for spending so much time on there, but I've made it my personal motto "Ridding the world of idiocy, one answer at a time."


I stumbled across this question while at work today...

Is there a reason we ignore the evils of America in WWII and WWI?
That we pay so much attention to the Halocaust when we don't give a cr4p about the holding camps where we held Germans and Japanese?

Based on what I've read, people there were killed, raped, tortured, and worked to death. While there were no gas chambers, they did shoot them for fun!

Do we ignore this because America has too much pride?

Well, you see we had to do this because some of those people (we don't know exactly who) had been in contact with space aliens who were pro-Nazi and were helping develop wonder weapons.

And Eisenhower: isn't that a German name? Sure is German-sounding. Maybe he just did this to deflect criticism.

We were caught up in a racist space alien conspiracy of the "master race" gray space aliens against the inferior but friendly "little green men". Ever wonder why you never hear about them anymore? The bad gray space aliens won.

When the gray space aliens confided with the Nazis, Hitler knew he had found soul-mates.

I'm not a member of Yahoo answers, but I have spent lots of time over the years trying to correct some of the misinformation spread about the attack on Pearl Harbor. It leads to some entertaining web battles at times...
