I'll draw 1/350 plans for those next month. Should take a month to draw them from pics I have. Will you be able to wait two months ? :cool_2:

You can also go to the Navy photo galleries and search.
A search for "Enterprise Hangar" revealed these results:

http://www.news.navy.mil/view_single.asp?id=53053
http://www.news.navy.mil/view_single.asp?id=48387

That's just a selection from the first page of results.

I'd definitely be interested in plans for a 1/350 hanger deck. :thumbs_up_1: I'm about to start my 1/350 big E, want to build a hanger deck, but suck at scratchbuilding.

Not sure if this is the correct post but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm building a hornet from Operation Desert Fox and looking for weapons loads. F/A -18C Hornet from the Big E participated in Operation Desert Fox in December of 1998.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Guys,
Nice follow through Mardis.
Scratch building is not easy, and building a 40" model that is scratch built is saying something.
Good work!

I sent Louis Carabott about his Enterprise. Saw it on ACB. Incredible build by the way. I sent him an email about the mural on the doors. He's looking but doesn't know if he still has a copy. Does anybody have a 1/350 scale copy or good picture that they would be willing to share?
TIA

Send me a PM with your mail adress, I've scanned and colored those from the D&S book, but it's too big to be posted here. :cool_2:

Hi everyone, Im beginning my research into building the big E in her 2001 scheme and noticed theres a lot of interest in early pics of her. I came across this site, might be some use to those making an early version. Looks like an unfinished model to me in these photos!
Oh, big thanks to the posted pictures in this thread of the current big E! I can use all the research material thats out there. Especially any close shots along the catwalks so I figure out how to detail along the sides.

I am looking for plans to build my own Enterprise. I'm thinking to do it out of 1/4in plywood or foamcore. Honestly, I'm leaning to the foamcore, just from a weight perspective. Anyone know where I can find a set of plans? I am looking to do it in 350th scale, because I can get the planes I want.

I want to build it with early to mid 70s planes.

Any thoughts, sires, suggestions, would be cool. I used to know of a site, but it seems to have disappeared from the net.

Thanks,
Plunket

Hellow,

Someone can tell me if all of 24 hose reels in the catwalks are of fuel?

And what exactly are the colored stripes in the flight deck side?

Sorry for my bad english, Im Spanish

Thanks

Post by rdmeyersr »

Does anyone have any information on the F-18 Hornet Squadron (NAVY or MARINE) that performed the carrier trials on board the USS Enterprise in the 1980's early 1990's? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,
