Ohio SSBN blueprints help!

Post by tomagabriel »

Hi everybody!

I am trying to make a high detail 3d model of the OHIO SSBN. Not for commercial purposes(I intend to make it freely available for everybody). However, after some searching, I realized I do not have some very reliable blueprints of this boat.

So my question was: is there anyone that could help me with some blueprints? Some cross sections would be great, or even detailed top/bottom/front/back views? Various hull elements I can reproduce from photos, but the shape of the hull itself looks different. So I am searching for something more accurate.

Regards!

Outside of a piping tab ( boats wiring and piping handbook) which I'm sure are still classified..Maybe EB has something in their website that could help.. The Ohios are still classified vessels and getting "accurate" info could be a problem.

Yes they are kind of secret. At first glance you might think there is a lot of info on the web about them. As soon as you search for some details, you realize there is almost none. Anyway, I was not interested in the internal structure, just the outer hull. Even that is hard to get (perspective pictures are not exactly what one needs to start modelling). However, I have solved my problem for the moment and got some schematics that should do it.
