Yarrsauce on pancakes, here be an update - I haven't actually done work on Tirpitzski in a few days, I've been soaked up in working on the Koya, but I've done work before that and didn't take any pics. So, here's the updates - four out of six Front Dome radars are in place, the two Cross Swords radars are in place - I said to hell with the gun directors after one of them broke trying to get it off the sprue. I have one of the boats in place, the stack is down, the cap is on. Three of four turrets are prepared for gun barrels but not fixed in place just yet for ease of painting. That said, here's da pics!

You know Simon i saved several rare USN and most importantly Russian navy videos with Kuznetsov, Kirov, Slava and Chabanenko in a 2004 exercise and some Udarnaya Sila videos with Russian ships. If i lost them it would have been impossible to find them again.

Good job Simon the most important thing in a Whif is to look realistic. If i didn t know i would have confused Tirpitzki with a Type 82 cruiser or something similar Speaking of Sovietization how about a sovietized Graf Zeppelin????

We did, Nektarios - the thread, and the board, weren't quite the same without you man. I might do the Graf Zepplin, eventually... I have this dislike for Carriers, really, I do. I don't like them for all the big flat space and all the annoying little planes. I'll entertain the idea if I ever see an actual 700-scale not 720-scale (yea I am picky) Graf Zep. As it stands, I have plenty of ships to work on. Bufu is coming along, Koya is stalled while I wait for money to pay for parts. I'm due to be getting my hands on something I wasn't sure what I would do with if I hadn't thought of it, but you guys won't know until I get that underway. Just suffice it to say, I'm going to be going to hell for doing it, and I Know it. I am so going to be haunted for doing this one. I think there'll be a lynch mob.

All sorts of interesting stuff lurking in my stash now, or on the way soon.

I dunno Ave, I gotta admit I find Carriers to be... annoying, especially with Trumpy's design for aircraft with the seperate gears and tails. That can be a little bit unnerving for me. Ah well, I'll have a few of them, but I like my battlewagons. I have to admit, I have a big soft spot for big guns.

Thank you all my friends.This is a little out of topic but i ve just had one of the worse days of my life. This made me realise lots of things.
Last evening whilie i was discussing with my mother about my job a medical subject came up about breast cancer. I was telling her about the signs of female breast cancer when she told me that she had one of them.
I wasn t worried too much because most people that hear that a disease has certain symptoms and signs tend to think that they have them all. So i guessed that she thought she had this sign since she was afraid of such a disease.
Just in case i performed on her physical examination and discovered a hard solitary nodule. That was it i felt horrible. I made some calls and this morning to some collegues of mine and mother was admitted today in the hospital. On physical examination the findings by the surgeon were the same with what i found and she was sent for an X-ray.
Thank God it was just a benign solitary nodule. and now i feel much better knowing that.
The reason i share this with all of you is because this reminded me of what is important in life. We should feel lucky that we are healthy and we have a superb hobby that makes life a little more interesting.

I agree, Nektarios - being alive is being lucky. Being healthy is being lucky. I've had my own run in with Cancer, but I won't tell the tale here. Needless to say, it was not mercifully benign, and I was young. I've had my share of bumps and bruises through life, and I'm happy to be here, and quite happy I have my stash, my wife, my life and my health.

Today has been a good modelling day. I worked on the Kilaueas quite a lot. Here are some in progress photos of my four Kilauea class ships. The build is 90% finished.
