Thanks, I haven't started my Indy project yet, although I have been doing some preliminary plans and tracking down aircraft and other ship fittings. Currently, I am working on the rigging of my 1799 Enterprise. Is WEM is that the brand name of your guns?

I just attached my mast gluing them in place. I haven't uploaded any pics yet of that step but I have been maintaining a log on my web site http://www.howefamily.com/zellars_progr ... ellars.asp. I put the photos into a flash slide show so you'll need flash to preview them.

That is a pretty neat project! I do not recall seeing any models of the Enterprise of that era.Navarone wrote:Thanks, I haven't started my Indy project yet, although I have been doing some preliminary plans and tracking down aircraft and other ship fittings. Thanks guys, I've been working steadily to get the Enterprise done. Rigging is a big step for me as I have never done this before.
Now on my Indy project I wanted to ask a question about the hull sections and how close they are to the America. I came across some hull lines (sections) for the America and thought of using them for my Indy.

Hey, guys, does anyone know anything about the 1/720 Testors or Revell Forrestal-class kits and how they compare to the Italeri? Is one company's just a re-pop of another's, or are they completely different moldings? And if so, which is better, and would the GMM Supercarrier set fit any one of them?

Re: Calling all Forrestal class & Kitty Hawk class CV Fans
My guess is that the hull lines would be close enough that you could get away with using the Americas plans. I remember somewhere someone took a Tamaiya 1:350 Enterprise model and Heavily modified it to a Forrestal class ship. Obviously the shape of the flight deck and elevator locations were changed but the hull itself looked unchanged.Navarone wrote:Thanks guys, I've been working steadily to get the Enterprise done.
