All Trumpeter kits are joint projects with Pitroad. They are marketed in Japan by Pitroad and in the rest of the world by Trumpy. Yes it was released just before GW arrived in Yokosuka.kidcurrie42 wrote:Is that set for the PitRoad release of the Trumpy kit? Hi Nektarios, that might not look like much at first sight, but I know how much work that can be. The size of those tiny railings gives it away. Nice work! Looking forward to seeing it attached to the ships!Nektarios wrote:Showing some progress done on Towada.
You guys talking about decals reminded me of something. I have one question, maybe you can help me. I have Revell's USS Boxer (LHD 4) kit laying around here and am trying to get hold of DML's USS Peleliu (LHA 5) and was wondering if you know whether I can just swap the decals from both ships since I'd like to depict LHD 5 instead of LHD 4. Doesn't really look like there are any differences in the markings (numbers etc) but I thought I'd ask the experts before I start twiddling with those decals in the future

Heiko be careful with the Markings, just swap the 4's for the 5's one is LHA-5 and one is LHD-4 for the stern area.

Re: Postwar navy.
I ve thought about using all the CVW-5 decals except from the ones for the two F/A-18E/F for the last F-14 cruise onboard Kitty in 2002. Now i m thinkig about making a second (2007) airwing. If i do this it will be my fifth CVW-5 having finished a 1991 for Midway, a 1993 for Independence a 1998 and a 2002 for Kitty Hawk.kidcurrie42 wrote:Thanks for the great pics Nektarios, my post should have read, cannot see many CVN-73 CAG a/c, the GO! Nektarios, I really like that view of your Towada. I just looked up the Mashu Class ships you mentioned, as I wasn't familiar with them. Do you also plan to build them? They look very impressive as well...

As always Nektarios great job!!
Orb, the numbers should be close to the same size. I am sure you are aware of the island differences between the LHD4 and LHD5. I will be doing the LHD7 soon as I finish CVN71. this is my version of the the LHD5, http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery ... index.html

My first ship was a LHD1, if this kit was out I would of been a 350 builder, but the dark side has me now. 700th all the way.gtb -red wrote:J Goodacre wrote:As always Nektarios great job!!

Re: Postwar navy.
The Mashu class is the only class of UNREP ships with stealthy features. I 'll build them of course but don t know exactly when. Hopefully i 'll finish The three Towada class ships until next weekend. I ve already built seven UNREP ships in the past month so i feel its time to build something different like a carrier. I may start upgrading four of my older carriers with PE nets.orb wrote:Nektarios, I really like that view of your Towada. Candidates are CVN-73, CVN-68, CV-66 and CV-62.
