Hi guys,

I need some help. I'm building an LHD right now and would like to also do some work on the hangar and well deck. While there are quite a few well deck pictures, I'm having difficulties finding good hangar pics. I'm guessing it looks similar to the CVN hangars. The ones found on navy.mil still don't really show enough details about the actual layout of the hangar and arrangement of the helos. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has an idea where I could find good pictures or schematics of both decks. Thanks!

Wow, nice detail shots Nektarios.

As to being a slow builder... if you're a slow builder, then the Bullet Train crawls along the tracks at two miles an hour. We could well nickname your shipyard Kuat Drive Yards, after one of the most efficient shipyards of the Star Wars universe. You crank them out like an assembly line, Nektarios.

Beautiful work on the Abukumas. Still want to whif a pair of those, they'd look pretty interesting when I'm done with them.

Thanks for those pictures, especially the last 3 I've never seen before and should help me. Thanks! I'm still at the sanding and cutting stage. The entire well deck needs to be scratchbuilt and the hangar is somewhat inaccurate as well. Looks like I'm going to be stuck with these problems for quite some time. Ah, well

Showing some progress of my three ships under construction. They are starting to take their final shape. The mashu class is something i really want to do as accurate as possible. A big problem is lack of enough good photos since the ships are very new to the JMSDF.
