Ah, i quess the 127mm(5'') does fit very well on the lcs nek.
The 57mm is indeed a bit to small.

First FFG-43 belonging to DESRON 23.

Looking good. Perhaps in the next batch you can model them after the Australian Adelaide's with the 8 cell VLS launcher forward of the MK 13 launcher.

They do look nice, Nektarios - I would think that a good reason to use Flyhawk's 32-cell VLS blocks for the extra detailing, the hatches are hard to pick out in the images, but hard to mistake the rest of it my friend.

Although the Australian modernisation program is quite interesting i wanted to arm my OHP with the best combination of armament this class could carry. I replaced the Mk-13 launcher with a 32-cell Mk-41 VLS, added RAM for better defance against anti ship missiles.

I would place in the 32 VLS cells the following:

64 ESSMs in 16 cells (16x4)
8 VL ASROC in 8 cells and
16 Harpoon Block II in 8 cells (8x2)

ESSMs would be the replacement for SM-1
VLA would improve ASW and
Harpoon Block II would add land attack capability.

I think this way the modernised OHP would become a multi purpose ship capable of serving in the first two decades of the 21st century.

Looks great so far John i like your scratchbuilt sponsons for the Phallanx. The Satcoms and electronics indicate that the ship is represented in 2000-2003 timeframe.

That is correct about the time frame, I think I am going to have the vehicles in both green and desert colors, because I am not sure what is correct for that time frame. I think it is a mix bag for them.
