First I have to say thanks to everyone who ever posted here. I learned a lot from reading all the posts. I would have never attempted to put my model in water, or weather it before I found this forum.
Next please note that this model was to learn some techniques on weathering and water. I didn't take a lot of time trying to fill seams. Looking back at how well I think the water came out I wish I spent more time on the details.
This is a 1/700 Dragon USS Spruance kit. It came with the PE parts, so I was able to give that a try! Next time I will paint the masts before I bend them. I also have to add another thanks, I would never thought to cut the railing in small parts without reading this forum.
Again I am happy with the overall turnout of the water, and weathering. This was the only reason I made this build, now I have started building the USS North Carolina. I will be spending a lot of time in detail and finish. I am already happy with how it is going, and I again am using a lot of techniques I have learned here. I plan on building her, a destroyer, and a carrier all at anchor. Once I'm done I will be putting them into a coffee table.
My first build after 20 some years.

Mark, This is a great looking build. I look forward to seeing pictures of your North Carolina and all future builds.

Thanks everyone! Like I said, I wish I spent more time on fine details, but the North Carolina is going to be much MUCH better.
