Flying boat vs. Seaplane

In case you didn't know:

A flying boat floats in the water on its hull while a sea plane rest solely on its pontoons.
A big flying boat on its tender:

A Seaplane tender:

I forgot about this,

and I thought I pass it on.

I'd like to contribute to this one.............

I'm guilty, myself, of interchanging the terms seaplane and flying boat.

Here is Richard Sliwka's latest. It is the USS Barnegat AVP-10, seaplane tender small. I love this one!

it was a goose, it was flown into a mountain (not by me, i'm just a lowley mechanic) about two months after i took the picture.
