Beautifully done and my congrats to the modeller. I did notice that the inner screw on the starbord side has been pushed up, probably by the weight of the model sitting on its bottom.

Many thanks for all kind feedbacks! Bill is right about the inner screw on the starbord side which has been pushed up probably by the weight of the model sitting on its bottom. I didn't notice that and while taking pictures I moved the ship back and forth many times. One blade gave way when I moved the ship into a display case, still not yet repaired.

Very nice, clean basic build.....that's the way I like to build them.......

I don't like to spend the time and money with a $100+ pe set (even though it makes a kit really stand out....I just use the bare bones
pe, railings and ladders.

Thanks so much for your kind compliments on the build! "Toom" who built this ship for me said he's not good at painting camoflaged ship so he built it this way. I think he wanted to show his skills in painting wooden deck. I gave him local made PE railings ($ 4-5 a sheet) to work with this ship. Now he's working on IJN Yamato 1:350 with 3 local made PE upgrade sheets (all PE costing less than $30).

Another modeler named "Tazmanian" who also builds models for me has done even better. Unable to fine PE sets suitable for Otaki's Yamato 1:250, he bought a manual on PE DIY (Do It Yourself) and managed to produce PE for the ship. He'll deliver the finished ship tomorrow along with some other kits.

"Toom" the builder of this ship has completed the Yamato in the same scale, but with more bells & whistles (3-sheet PE upgrade set).
