L'aresenal for Missouri BB-63 in 1/350

Post by Gervais8 »

Has anyone used L'arsenal products.
I'm just wondering if I should go with the Gold Medal Models PE sets for the Big Mo. Any suggestions, comments?

L'Arsenal

L'Arsenal is absolutely the tops when it comes to detail parts for 1/350 scale ships. Their resin work is outstanding. That said, I don't think they have a PE set of their own for the "Mo". GMM PE sets are excellent. Combine resin details - such as 40mm guns and tubs - with GMM PE and you would have quite a Missouri. As an aside, though, I also like WEM PE sets (though at times I think the brass is too thin or my fingers too han-handed) and I like Tom's PE sets and I like Flagship PE details. Each has something the other doesn't. But no one, and I mean no one, does resin details like L'Arsenal. As far as service, both L'Arsenal and GMM have very high standards - as do WEM, Tom's Modelworks and Flagship. You can't go wrong with any of them.
Any storm in a port.

Thanks Winks.
I'm just trying to get everything together before I start my MO undertaking.
The Iowa Class thread is amazing help as well.
