Man, do I love paddle-wheelers! Looking forward to seeing this play out.

Taking a general and familar item transforming that item for modelling purposes , an adaptive form of scratch building which is both ingenious and productive  :thumbs_up_1: :wave_1:

It's long time from last update.
At now I installed more light

P9110007.JPG
Under this trapdoor is placed two switches. First for inside light, other for outside light.
P9110008.JPG
Under this trapdoor is placed switch for RC (Already RC has not installed)
P9110009.JPG
Paddle-wheelers Has installed and working.
P9110013.JPG
For better all covers fixing in corners I placed small and strong magnets.
P9110015.JPG
And at now main cannons.
P9110011.JPG
It's shooting good. Satisfactory flame, smoke and smash. But with my camera I can't taken picture at shooting moment. And need little more work for electric shooting operating inventing and creation.
Here is ammo what I used for my cannons.

Very realistic! :thumbs_up_1:

I wonder about where you got the tin foil/aluminium for plating (litho, other? what is thickness of the sheet) and your method of riveting (punching from back side? what did you use for a punch, syringe needle?)

You may be interested in this paper model of Vanya http://www.papermodeling.net/forum/view ... 55&start=0 (not an ad, I was already asked about this model on forum and knowing about this development think it may be of interest regarding details, etc)

Happy modeling,

Tin plating steel has from cafe tin can, aluminum from beer can. Just cut tin cans with scissors and get nice tin sheets.
All plates has riveted to using small (+) screwdriver.
For this ship I used approximately 100 tin cans.

For this ship has not to much left for total finish. (main cannons, windlass, bumpers and RC)

Yes i know that topic. Paper model and plastic kit not interest my. I like scratchbuilding without ready components.

For future I interest plans for Bremen class frigate F122 or something similar.

Hello Raivo You have attempted a difficult build. Working paddle ships are a delight to see out on the pond and you have added the lighting a nice touch.
