How to glue wooden deck

hi,
I ordered the MK1 Design wooden deck for my baby (1/350 IJN Yamato). this is the first time I use the real wood deck, so i don't know how to glue it on the plastic. I was thinking with the glue for wood (pattex). I don't know if this glue will leave some sign. I think that cyanofix won't work, so do you have some suggestion, od tips?

I wonder how great the quality is in that one. I'd normally recommend Shinsengumi which is around 115.00 USD. But anyways. I'd recommend using a spray adhesive? Why? Well it has a super tack which is a whole lot stronger than White glue or plastic glue. Then you spray it on so it makes your life soo much easier rather than squeezing white glue/cement on (Or if you're using Tamiya thin cement then that would be brushing the cement on). Also White glue tends to poor out so you get this clear dried white glue filling on the edges where the openings are which when you see that if you're using white glue then you have to clean it off. Too much work. Plus the spray adhesives are not very expensive about 5.00 for a large can. And they last for a long ass time and they are used for other things you do in life. Hope that helps P.S. before you glue your deck. I'd recommend on buying either a Valspar clear satin spray or any kind of good clear wood spray so you can give your wood a clear shiny coat which looks up to the polished wooden decks and protects from water seeping in which causes mold and adds a thin layer of durability. Goodluck . BTW I am currently working on my 1/350 Yamato too. I just finished washing up my Shinsengumi Yamato deck and I am starting on my Yamato Lionroar PE.

looks that we have some really similar Yamato project, BTW, the deck is on, and is self adesive, so no glue needed. anyway, look at the work in progress thread.I wouldn't say that the MK1 DEsign deck is too much worst than the other, and is only 46USD

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I was wondering if there is a definitive answer to this question yet? I just got Shinsengumi's Deck Kit for 1/350 Tamiya Prince of Wales today, and I really want to do this properly. The Shinsengumi offering is staggeringly precise and ultra thin, but is not self adhesive.
Any new thoughts and info would be very much appreciated.

Have you read the Kongo build on ModelShipwrights? I also have that deck for my POW. I am touching up the hull camo but the deck is next. I have the spray adhesive that the author used on his build. You will have to use the search function to find Kongo pt.2. Good Luck jc
