Hey Cliff, wasn't able to get high-res of the photo you wanted. Hope these will do for your UNREP. Image Image Image

Here is a USS Langley update, most resin parts have been attached now, i have made a start on the PE supports, it is quite a nice PE to work with, not too thin, i have attached PE railing aft, flightdeck i have stained with a Bombay Mahogany stain, since the pics were taken i have sanded off the black boot topping i painted on, i will replace with black decal stripe and paint as needed.

Interesting, but what if you need to cut the tape into smaller strips? Isn't the special coating only applied to the outer edges of the tape?

The aircraft guys that brought this to my attention have used it with laquer, enamel and acrylics, also their understanding is that the entire tape is treated.

Work on Enterprise now continues after the completion of the Yorktown. Last night I washed the parts in the picture and this morning I got the primed. It seems possible with two months to go before IPMS Seattle's Spring Show that I might be able to get the Enterpise finished in time for that show.

My 1940 pre war USS Enterprise now has some color.I was able to get in two painting sessions today in between washing the windows, washing the dog and vacuuming the carpets. The flight deck is painted brown and the major components of the ship are now painted gray.
