An hi dave yes i hope to post my NIMITZ build on here but its taking a lot of time to reupload the build pics to photobucket as i toatly wiped all the pics ALL 753 OF THEM of all builds from photobucket because the pics were all mixed up an different size in pixel rateings some over a 1000 pixs . An now im uploading them at 800 x 600 pixs so i can post them here but back to NIMITZ build it will be a cut down vershion as i had over 400 pics on the old site way to many for me to repost on here BUT WHEN IVE DONE IT i will go from there

I vote to see the build posted. I would also like to see details on the lighting system and any other features such as the smoke I see in the pictures.

Looks great man, top notch! :thumbs_up_1:

One thing I noticed though, the Sea Darts have lettering indicating they are AGM-84A missiles IE, Air Launched USN Harpoons. Just wondering.

HI Cliffy B well spotted on that she has been to numerous shows an on a web site forum over the last 3yrs or so an only one other person noticed it (DAMM I BOUGHT TO GOOD A CAMERA AN IT PICKS OUT THE DETAILS TO WELL  ) Now i will tell you how that came about i scratchbuilt the seadarts missles from some harpoon missles off an old aircrarft kit an used the decall's from them
as they are so tiny an its a hard job gettin the right decall's so needs must as they say how's that

That really is very impressive!!!

sure is big...--split hull eh..!

:welcome: to modelwarships.com!

Although I am right away at the other end of the scale spectrum--it is still very interesting to me to see such a 1/64 scale behemoth take shape!

BTW--the floodlighting looks just about how I see these ships at night across the water at Portsmouth!

Cool stuff! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Hi Chris Excellent build. I do like the way you have solved the problem relating to the length of the hull. Thanks for taking the time to post up the build series . It's most appreciated .
