Warspite at Narvik

Post by Nigel Hirst »

Hello all.

Please can anyone confirm for me the colour scheme of Warspite at Narvik?

John Snyder at White Ensign very kindly suggested that she would have been overall AP 507B with steel decks in AP 507A and so far, everything I've seen and read seems to confirm that - does anyone out there know for sure please?

Also, were her wooden decks left as bare wood, or painted over in a grey as well?

All thoughts gratefully received.

The wood decks were left unpainted at the time but they might have been painted later in her career.

Have fun with your Warspite :thumbs_up_1:
