Here's my choices...

1. USS Texas BB-35 (Like many people said, the real one is still floating.)
2. USS Wasp CV-7 (Amazing this famous carrier hasn't been done yet)
3. County Class Heavy Cruisers (This class alone would provide endless boxing opportunities)
4. USS Indianapolis CA-35
5. USS Oklahoma BB-37 (The Pearl Harbor BB that desperately needs a good plastic model. Plus you could do the Nevada.)

My picks for plastic 1:350 kits... pretty much in my order of preference...

1. Schleswig-Holstein, WWII fit (at least. Sisters in various years would be quite welcome.)
2. USS Ranger CV-4
3. USS Wasp CV-7
4. Graf Zeppelin (It's WWII, and it's German. I'm sure this hypothetical would sell! Maybe two versions: original plan and late-war fit, with different time-appropriate aircraft types)
5. USS Alaska CB-1

Dear Dragon
My five most desired in 1/350 are:
A County Class cruiser, especially a RAN one, including Shropshire.
A Warspite
A Queen Elizabeth or Valiant
A Nelson and/or Rodney.
Any of the Italian battleships
And thank you for the opportunity for some input.

Narrowing this down to 5 choices was not easy, but the Following would be my top 5 wants in 1/350th scale , that are not available in plastic, and in some cases in any form.

1. HMS Sheffield and with Dragon's excellent ability in multi varianting, here's a daft idea, make a "2 in 1" with 1941 for Force H and the Bismark chase and 1943 to sit alongside the Scharnhorst (also you have a base for all the other Batch 1 towns)
2. HMS Norfolk, basically as above (except 1st cruiser squadron, not force H).
3. Flower class corvette, The backbone of the Battle of the Atlantic used not only by the RN, but the USN, RCN, RNZN, Free French, Norwegien and a few others as well, and served after ww2 as well. also a good variety of Camo and fit means a great multi option kit, and small size means the posibility of multiple purchases as well.
4. S,T,U,V class destroyer, not kitted at all to my knowledge (except the old Frog HMS Undine as a type 15 frigate) Also, and this is particullary personal, my son in the Sea Cadet Corp and his unit is "TS Troubridge" named after the T class destroyer & It is something I would like to build (and convert to a type 15 as they have a superb enlarged photograph of her on the wardroom wall)
5. Bogue / Attacker / Ameer class CVE. loads of ships, USN and RN interest, loads of camo schemes too, and with it's small (relatively) size another one to that might have a few of us forking out for more than one.

2. Any of WW2 reconstructed RM Andrea Doria class
3. RM Heavy cruiser Zara, Fiume or Gorizia ( Pola excluded )
4. Any WW2 German light cruiser K�nigsberg, Karlsruhe, K�ln.
5. improved 4....WW2 German Light cruiser Leipzig and N�rnberg.

Anyway, I'll be happy with whatever Dragon will release, with their ever improving standard.

There seems to be a fair amount of interest in the Alaska class. The Sumner would be a natural follow on to the Dragon Gearing. No one has yet made a Independence class in 1/350 scale, resin or plastic. The Sims class seems like a natural too, having done the Benson/Livermore class. The John C Butler would fill a large hole in the DE offerings in plastic.

Noting that RN is being voted for in fairly decent numbers, I can't resist to add my two cents worth: Mind you, haven't I been banging on about it long enough!

1. Town Class - HMS Sheffield (count sub-class HMS Belfast and Edinburgh in here please)
2. Dido/Black Prince Classes - HMS Black Prince.
3. County Classes HMS Suffolk (my uncle's ship, which also tracked the Bismarck)
4. Colony Classes HMS Kenya (lived there, also she was a hard fought ship)
5. HMS Cavalier - currently a museum ship in Chatham, Kent, UK. Could be a basis for many ships.

Hmmm,

HMS Intrepid....presumably you mean an Illustrious Class Carrier, of which Victorious was one. The others were Illustrious, Formidable - 3 shaft design, 23,000 ton standard. Indomitable - 4 shaft design, same standard displacement. Further sub class, with 4 shaft design, Implacable and Indefatigable. 23,450 tons standard.
Like your choice for USS Midway, I made that when I was but a sprog. HMS Vanguard, a great ship.

1. USS Yorktown (CV-5) with minimal modifications you could have Yorktown pre-war and Coral Sea/Midway fits, and with a little more work early war CV-6 and CV-8 could be done for multiple boxings.

2. C.F. Adams class (DDG-2)

5. USS Saratoga, late war fit.

(items 2-5 are filler, I really only want Yorktown!)

4. HMS Hermes 1982 (Falklands fit) could also be done as conventioanl carrier using parts from Eagle !

5. HMS Ocean 2000 - LPH would make a nice counter point to the Airfix Illustrious.

I think it a real shame that we don't have a representation of USS Forrestal as she appeared when the tragic fire aboard her claimed the lives of so many Sailors in Vietnam.
