Here a couple pictures of some ships I've completed. They were created in Rhino 4.0 (and 5.0 Beta), UV mapped in Ultimate Unwrap 3D, and painted in PhotoShop 3D (or Deep Paint 3D depending). Smoke and other touches were added then animated and rendered in Maya.

This is way over my head, may I assume that this 3-D CGI is only as good as the person doing the work ? For instant, you couldn't enhance a photograph to bring out certain aspect such as a capstan on a WW1 destroyer, an all angle view of the subject as it were.
Being good with computers graffic/drawing system is honestly 1st class stuff, I know from my own experience especially working with 1-700 scale models, I'd love to actually see some of the things that's going to be glued down and covered in paint, the system you're describing if I have this right, offers another angle to this hobby :thumbs_up_1:

P.S
Welcome aboard !
