Here are a couple quick shots of the ship after matt coating and adding the mast. Now on to finishing the base . . .

I finally finished the Nields. Here are a couple of photos. I'll be submitting a couple of dozen more to the Gallery on this site in the next few days.

That's it! All of my builds are going into the trash! :heh: Holy cow, what a wonderful job, can't wait to see more. A true showing of what can be accomplished with these wonderful kits. The water is very nice as well. Look forward to seeing what your next project will be.

Russ,

I did wind up going with the .002" monofilament for the signal halyards and the .003" for the wire antennas and stays.

Well it really looks good with the obvious difference in diameter and color, along with the insulators on the antennas. A really nice job :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Hi,

I can't really add to the congratulatory comments here, they say it all. A wonderful job, beautiful finish. A true icon for model makers. I am biased of course, it is a destroyer build! Thanks for going through it step by step and posting the superb photos.

Regards,

Hugh Williams
