The Imperial Chinese Navy - Hai Tien (Protected Cruiser)
British Armstrong (Armstrong) to construct, the same level a total of two, cost � 328,242 per vessel. "Hai tian" ship on November 28, 1897 into the water, "Hai chi" ship on January 24, 1898 into the water.
Displacement: 4300 tons.
Horse power: 17000.
Length: 423.88 ft.
Beam: 46.8ft.
Speed 24 knots.
Gun:2 X BR 8in 45cal Armstrong QF Single
10 X BR 4.7in 45cal Armstrong Single
16 X BR 47mm 50cal 3pdr Hotchkiss Mk I And II Single
Torpedo 5 X BR 18in Mk V
