Color Scheme for British "O" Class DD

Hey Folks: I need a little bit of guidance here. I'm building the Tamiya 1/700 "O" Class DD as the Offa in about 1942 or so. I have the Raven book on British camouflage schemes and have picked out the actual pattern which calls for G20, G45, and white. The color samples on the back of the book show G20 as an extremely dark gray/blue, and the G45 as a greenish gray. I looked in the WEM catalog and their G20 is a light gray (according to the tinlet photo). To further confuse things, the Tamiya box art seems to show what I assume is the G45 as a light blue/gray. Does anyone have any idea what the G20 and G45 should look like? Also what I should use for those colors (in Humbrol, for instance), as I don't have the WEM colors for those camo numbers. Thanks for the help.

It's me again. I almost forgot- Should the deck be gray or corticene? Thanks!

The smaller the number the darker the colour: my tin of G20 has a fairly dark grey-green lid. I think you'll find that WEM use the same photo to illustrate all their colours.

Decks would have had Semtex not corticene, with non Semtex areas grey.

Hi Bob,

WEM colors are correct (you should know that!). For the white, use a real white and not RN 10 which is Western Approaches White.
