does the compressor have a condensation trap? your part of the country is well noted for high humidity. the compressors we use for nailguns and track fasteners have to have the water bled from the tank everyday. there should be a petcock valve at the bottom of the reservoire tank. open it up when the tank is at pressure and drain the water out.Timmy C wrote:It's in the garage (I use a compressor) and it's dry summertime, so I don't think water is the culprit.

I have a head like that on my Badger 150 (or is it 350?). The segments are to help prevent paint build-up and the resulting spatters when said build-up finally lets go. It's worked well for me in preventing that.
To plug it to back flush, just use a rag and clamp it with your fist over the front of the airbrush. Works every time for me.
