Best "S" boat white shade?

Post by Bob O'Connor »

Can anyone give me a good idea of what S Boat white is? I have looked at model photos, which range from pure out of the bottle white, to an off-white almost pale gray color. I am looking to represent my Airfix S boat in the standard white scheme, weathered but not filthy. I have experimented with MM white, camo gray and light gray, none to my satisfaction. Any help appreciated.

WEM do Schnellboote Weiss in their colour coats range which is probably the best match for it

If you want a weathered look. I use model master camo grey fs36622.
