Hi all,
I have been scouring the internet for modern merchant line-drawings, so I can scratchbuild some merchants in 1/2400 scale. I need some more targets/diversions for my Harpoon naval wargame, but haven't had much luck in finding line-drawings for merchants like barge carriers (LASH), car carriers, or container ships. I'd specifically like to model the MV Julius Fucik, a barge carrier featured in Red Storm Rising.
If anyone can provide what they have, or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it! I've already looked around some of the typical modelling plan sites, without much luck.
Thanks!
Steve Jolly

Re: Modern merchant plans
Have you tried company websites? In 1/2400, I think even their basic profiles would be sufficient.
De quoi s'agit-il?

I haven't really seen much info on manufacturers...but I will try there as well. Now to look up who makes these merchants!

Re: Modern merchant plans
Update - I have found some decent plans for a variety of merchants - thought I would share them here.

Ciao Sjolly75,
From what I've read (an excerpt of the novel), the MV Julius Fucik was modified to resemble the Doctor Lykes, a Seabee-class ship.

These Seabee ships are also used by the US for military transport as the Cape M class (Cape May, Cape Mohican, et al.)

So hopefully that's a good starting point. Buona Fortuna.
