Here is my new resin casting workbench in the basement..........

"Secured for Sea" I see. Very nice. What is the make/model of the pressure pot? I'd like to get a little more into pressure casting as ambient pressures produce too many bubbles for me. Of course, finding anything like that out here will be like looking for hen's teeth I'm afraid.

That pressure pot is from SEARS and it is intended to be used as a paint can sprayer. About $90.00. I comes with the regulator, gage, and relief valve.

Greetings,
I've been away from modeling all summer and fall completing my basement workshop makeover. I wanted to make something that would last me.. well.. until the end. Anyway, have a look...

I have a small space to work in and wanted to make the most of it. I've added a lot of storage space, excellent lighting, and paint rack.



I built an assembly cart that has full extension drawers to hold all those long sheets of plastic, brass, etc. Next summer I'm going to add dividers to some of the drawers to keep things separate. It's got a heavy duty set of wheels (good thing because it weighs a ton) so it's easy to move around.



I also added a HDTV so that I can watch a little TV, surf the web, and post reference photos/videos while I'm building.

I got a lot of great ideas for this project here so I wanted to share my efforts with you. Now... IT'S TIME TO START BUILDING AGAIN!!!!

Iam in the process of setting in to my new home will set the basement up as my man cave as the boss calls it apx. 25ft by 30 ft will post pics when finished

I started building the NC in my dining room. The wife kicked me out, so I moved it down to the Navy Cave. It was a tough sacrifice, but you do what you have to do.

Here are a few pictures of my modeling room, I call it my Navy Cave.

The desk is a bugger, because my chair (and my fat ass) just won't fit under it. It's an old steal case desk with a type writer cabinet, and that type writer cabinet is huge and makes the chair area very small.

This is my display area.

I just added the track lighting, and I'm happy with the added light I get at the work table

You can see how that track light washes the wall.

I've since added an S-3 Viking, and an ES-3 shadow. The ES I was working on is now done, and I gave it to a friend as a Christmas present. He was the PC for that airplane.

I think every modeling room should have a sign like this.

My TV is a 42 inch, and it is perfect for when the Seahawks and the Chargers make it to the Super Bowl. LOL

and the fridge is full of Diet Coke and Beer.

Wow there are a lot of great workbenches out there, wiping the drool off now! I have a drafting table with a closeable shelving unit resting on top to keep the cats away. While it was in the apartment living room I could close the door and it kept up appearances.
