Oh I'm really digging this!!!! :woo_hoo: Looks great! When will it be out (or is out already?!)

That Merlin looks particular nice as well as the tug. Nice touch with the tracked vehicle (can't remember the name). The Apache's are a welcomed addition as well.

I just finished building Orange Hobby's Juan Carlos (Spanish Carrier) What a fantastic model. I did a full review and it should be coming along here sometime. IN any event, the PE is the best (thinest) PE I have worked with. My only complaint were the large pour overs on the bottom of the hull (as you can see) they are very hard and very thick and required a full sized table saw to cut them off cleanly and flat. Otherwise, one of the BEST kits I have done in a long time

Alternatively, try a "hot knife". Heat up a sharp thin blade, and use that to cut through the resin - works for me.

BTW, get your parents permission, or get your dad to help - too late for me though I'm afraid.

A question to ORANGE HOBBY :
After Dokdo, Juan Carlos Primero, may we expect that your next release will be a Mistral / Tonnerre / Dixmude ?
This would finely complete the serie. And you could always draw later a Russian version of the kit ...

First, please forgive my bad English.
I can only reveal the next project will not be LPD or LPH, it will not be HMS or the French Navy, but I will continue some of the LPD's design, if started, I think HMS Albion (L-14) is a priority because it is the HMS ocean partner, it is very important.
I also like the French Navy, with the Royal Navy, I wish I could to complete the entire series, instead of only one or two of them, therefore, temporarily vacant, sorry!

Great work,
an unexpected ship and this one is the real slim and beautiful one (in compare with the fat King) I especially like those accessories, what is that tracked vehicle? looks like an agriculture machinery... :-)
For next project, the Chinese 071 could also be considered?

When I first saw this I thought it was 1:350. the castings and detail are very well done. Then I saw the PE marked at 1:700 and was really impressed.

I probably wont build this kit. But my request to Orangehobby is to make some of those wonderful modern 1:700 tugs and harbor boats available on their own. I have some modern ships that could use some modern tugs and there's just nothing on the market. Not just in 1:700 but also in 1:350. It would be great to see some high quality modern harbor boats including tugs, fireboats, etc.

Congratulations on a great offering and I hope you will consider my suggestion.

Why not consider HMS Hermes in your future plans?

Most of the items tend to be issued as accessory sets, although many of the traders only appear to stock the ship kits.

Now that's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for pointing out the tugs selling separately. I just placed my pre-order for a couple of sets.

Won't work too well here b/c the over pours are very thick and run almost the entire length of the ship. You'd be there all day heating and cutting heating and cutting and when done, you'd have a moulton mess of resin at the bottom of the hull where the bottom part of the wet deck is supposed to fit squarely.
