Another copy of Burt's "British Battleships of WWI" just sold for approx. $550 on eBay!

All I can suggest is keep trawling the internet and browsing second-hand bookshops, as you can get lucky sometimes.

For instance, I've been looking for the Revell Ark royal/Tribal for a while and turned up some on an internet shop for a very sensible price recently.

I have to admit I was given my copy of Burt's British Battleships for free.
