1/350 Kriegsmarine fittings of Veteran models are available.

I finally publish new 1/350 Kriegsmarine fittings of Veteran models which will be available around Middle of October. 5 below box images are finally and naturally presented. However the process is lengthy and tough. Kriegsmarine fittings are my favorite issue and then became my main object when some modelers always encourage me to create them. And I definitely tried to collect data as much as I can. However some data is not complete while the other is not unanimous. The worse is some data couldn't be found. For example, the photos of DF 10*80 Binocular is the data which I spent 6 months to find. And so far, I still can't find correct drawing and close up photos of 3M & 4M rangefinder onboard DKM Bismarck. I can only postpone creation of these 2 fittings.

When all prototypes of these Kriegsmarine fittings were finally finished and ready for casting after 7 months. It is unfortunate that 3 important prototypes were broken when creating molds. After evaluating any remedial measures are useless, I could only discard these 3 original prototypes and create new ones. Soon 2 months passed.

Most of all, Some pirate companies (suspicious from China) copied my old IJN fittings not long time ago. Deep impulse beat me so much and let me consider if I should go on my business. The quality of these counterfeits are not good (you can even clearly see cut-off trace at these counterfeits ).I not only feel so sad that my hard work have been stolen but also feel sorry for those people who got low quality counterfeits. Creation of my products is lengthy and tough. The risk of copying my product is obvious(Maybe so soon, another �Designed in German� company will release similar counterfeits of my new Kriegsmarine fittings) . I just wonder is there any value that Veteran models should continue existing? Morale and energy is really low. But I still have a sweet dream to create more exquisite fittings. And I still hope there are people who support and recognize the value of Veteran models. If not, I am glad to revert to a simple ship modeler.1/350 Kongo,1/350 Sharnhorst and 1/700 Missouri are still in my closset waiting me to finish.And at least, I finish these Kriegsmarine fittings and keep my oath to those modelers who constantly support me so much.I want to say,"All of you are the best!"

Idiotic People with the only ability to copy are everywhere. But do you know how many people are waiting with their Kriegsmarine projects , only because they are waiting your products???? There are a lot. I cant imagine a IJN project without Veteran parts. By the way is there any plan to produce 20mm sigle guns and the 37mm twins? I finally want to start my Bismarck, she is waiting now 3 years.

Actually,I believe most modelers didn't know they bought Knockoff until they got it.The main problems are those immoral people who decided to copied my products to save their development cost and earn quick money.And I still hope their illegal behavior is temporary disorder and they will be back on track to create their real products.

First, as one Melvin to another, damn the bas**rds that ripped off your work! As far as I'm concerned the only form of life lower than a thief, be they the kind that robs with a gun or that robs with an ink pen, is a child molester! And while I don't want to get a flame war started here, China seems to be a haven for that type of unscrupulous practice. Worse, it seems their courts almost countenance it, from what I read.

I urge all of my friends and modeling colleagues to buy solely from well known and reputable companies, such as yours. This may sound like a harsh view, but people who try to save a few dollars by purchasing rip offs from fly by night companies without a well known provenance are, in a way, as guilty of perpetuating the crime of intellectual piracy as those who actually do the copying.

While most of my projects are either USN or IJN, I do try to keep abreast of what is happening in other areas of interest (you never know when something new might catch your interest), and I'm aware of the contribution you and your company have made to our hobby. So, thank you for your efforts on behalf of us in the modeling community and trust that most people will do the right thing and buy their products from well known and respected companies such as yours.

I very much hope you continue to produce your fittings. Your efforts are very, very much appreciated. I gladly spend more in aftermarket pieces to build a kit than the actual kit itself, because things like your pieces are worth it. I use your Modern US Navy line, and I will continue to do so. I had the rare privilage to get some of the SPG-51s, and they were quite fantastic. Like John, I look forward to either another set of your SPG-51s in the future or perhaps another production of your original ones.

Pieces of yours I will always use are your Phalanx CIWS, Harpoon, SLQ-32 and SRBOC, Mk26, and RHIB kits. When you start your Modern US Navy line back up I am willing to bet I will buy more as well! Counterfitting agents or not, we really appreciate your work, sir, and we will continue to buy from you.

Veteran model products in my opinion are the best upgrades to a modern era ship. The modern fittings line is superb and really worth every penny.

I have purchased numerous sets of harpoon missiles, phalanx ciwss, bridge fittings, torpedo tubes and so on. As long as they keep coming, I will keep buying them.

I also loved the twin 3" mounts and their directors...

Keep up the excellent work Melvin and the only support you need derives from the quality of your products.

I feel so happy that there is another Melvin who is a faithful ship modeler and spoke for hard worked and reputable companies.And these companies definitely move forward when modelers continue supporting them.
Actually,I am a modern warships fan at first.It is not curious that I created 1/350 modern US naval fittings for my first subject. When I was asked by a famous model magazine in Taiwan to build 1/700 Prinz Eugen(Tamiya kit) in 2003. http://www.prinzeugen.com/PGModel.htm
I think I was addicted to Kriegsmarine warships at the time.When I decided to build her in 1945,I was attracted by various kinds of Kriegsmarine AA guns.And I began to love many warships in WW2. So it is possible for modelers to love other subjects when they begin to build ship models which they don't touch before.

I feel I have to add my voice to the chorus of congratulations and appreciation for the quality of the sets produced by Veteran Models. i, too, consider them the best in the market. I am building a Revell Bismarck at the moment, and the new sets arrived just at the right time! They add an extra level of fine detail to an already good model.

As a WW II modeler, I note that Veteran already produces excellent sets for the IJN and Kriegsmarine, while Melvin believes that the USN of that era is already well covered. I would suggest that there is a market for equivalent Roal Navy WW II fittings, with an increasing number of plastic kits available as well as a good number of resin kits which can do with an increased level of detail. Remember, many RN ships have open compass platforms (bridges) as well as delicate light AA...
