Hi all,

We attend Telford SMW2011.
Our booth is located at 187 Hall1 (booth name is Hobbydecal).

We will display 1/350 Warspite applied by our Detail up set and Dreadnought by test PE and some materials.
We also would bring some sets of Warspite Detail up set.
Very limited quantities. So if you reserve and get yours at Telford, please email to me. I will try to bring the reserved order.
Also At the booth we would get the preorder of Dreadnought Detail up set before formal release to estimate the initial producing quantities.
This preordered Dreadnought set will be shipped at 21th Nov. from Korea just after releasing.
We will also sell some wooden decks and some Hobbydecal products.

And then please say "Hello" at our booth.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

It's nice to see you managed to get more detail in the main derrick flanges. That's such a hard part to do by hand.

Even with CNC it takes over 10minutes...
The joint bolt holes are relaized and excatly divided 360degree by 14 holes based on the Anatomy of the Ship : Dreadnought.

I hope we will also realize the Main Derrick of Hood in near future.

Thank you
Kim

This is a truely amazing set! And some words on the anti-torpedo net...I think many of us would like to store the net on the shelves, is there a nice and tight way to scroll the nets?

Thanks,

Nice to see a deployed torpedo net! I'm looking forward to rigging this thing! (Well, not exactly, since it'll be a lot of work. But it will certainly be worth the effort!)

A suggestion - of courst it could be too late for this (sorry, I was on vacation and out of the loop when the pictures were first posted):
Could the bottom of the net be etched with the same drape as the top rather than straight? (I doubt the original nets were made to compensate for the drape between support points and maintain a perfectly level bottom - I could be wrong, of course. Anyone who knows, please speak up.) If it's too late to change it, I'll still order a set - I'll just have to cut it to shape myself.

I've just finished the HMS Dreadnought application.
Other photos of this Dreadnought will be posted on our webpage http://pontosmodel.com at this weekend.

OMG....! That is just stunning.

I saw the partially completed model at Telford and was blown away with both Dreadnought and Warspite... the quality and the design of the PE was just exceptional... and well thought through as well. For the first time it looked like a genuine improvement to allow modellers to build a very high quality model and REALLY enjoy doing it, rather than just detail and PE for the sake of it (Don't get me wrong... I am the first to admit I add detail just for the sake of it sometimes and realise its a form of madness... If you follow any of my builds on here you will see I'm telling the truth... thats why I get obsessive, then frustrated and then 'go missing' for a few months!).

Seriously, I AM going to buy this set in the New Year... I have my copy of 'Anatomy' and a partially built Combrig Dreadnought (Great kit if you are looking for a 700 scale version), but really.. This IS special. Enough to get me to build in 350 scale and not be tempted to scratch build everything. For the first time in a long time, this kit and the Pontosmodel update set look good enough to build straight from the box and still appeal to me. What a relief that will be!

Really nice guys too... very friendly and helpful when talking to them at Telford and it was very clear they are professional and very keen to make a great product. They are working really hard and producing something really special.

Pontosmodel : You deserve all the success in the world. :thumbs_up_1:

Dreadnaught is a little too early for my tastes but I can certainly see me buying it and this set, it looks absolutely stunning.

I saw mention in an earlier thread that Pontos were looking to do sets for the Tamiya New Jersey & Missouri - I hope this is the case as I'll be first in the queue for both

Sean,
Surely there is no photo showing the bottom area after spreading net.
And the straight line is the best because Modelers can cut or grind the shape as they wish(tHough this is stainless steel material).

Thank you
Kim
