good to hear from you jose.the arado is done,i think it looks like the real thing,i don't have decals for the marking and such. so i printed them from pics and down sized then, cut them out and glued them on.

Re: 1/144 admiral sheer s.c. scratch build
thanks jose and dave.in the cockpit there is a bit of detail seats, yoke ,throttle and the machine gun, most is hard to see because of the canopy.jose i have not thought to much about whats next,i am running out of storage room
.i like the larger scale of sheer 1/144 it keeps things down to under 55 in.that is as big as i can go.i would like to go to 1/100 or 1/96 but i would have to keep the actual ship length to 450 ft.this in 1/100 would be 54 in.seeing i am a canuck maybe a canadian d.e or a frigate.the more modern ones.

Hi Russ!
Its a very fine and accurate little plane youve built! Especially the glass parts and the tiny little engine, very well done!!!!
Best regards
Joachim

well i've started on the larger crane on s.c.most of the cranes i have built where from brass but the main arms on this one are tapered,so it is made from styrene.i was worried that it would be to flimsy, but after the bracing was added it stiffend up.here's some pics.

Re: 1/144 admiral sheer s.c. scratch build
an update on the crane.its all together ,the rigging lines gave me grive.i use very fine nylon fishing line it is clear but is easy to paint.the only problem with it is it do'es not bend to easy.so for the lifting line i used thread ,i knew it would be fuzzy so i rubbed wax all over it
.as you can see in the pic it looks like a fuzz ball so i took it off.i will try to make the fishing line work.i will post more pics later.

Have you checked the site www.deutschland-class.dk?
The following gallery has some photos of the DKM Graf Spee during it's salvage. You could try this route, all 4 of the ships would have been constructed in a similar manner.
