I have some Davco 1/3000 ships. I'd say they are excellent for gaming, but I prefer the 1/2400 series. Panzerschiffe makes some very nice resin ships n 1/2400.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect (except small lol) but the detail isn't that bad considering the size of these little gems. Thank you for posting.

I used to have hundreds of Skytrex and Davco ships in 1:3000, and regularly used them for wargaming, and did nice paint jobs on them. I had hundreds of aircraft too which were moulded on square bases, I cut quite a few off and glued to carrier decks to populate the carriers a bit, and even helos on frigate landing decks. Not sure what happened to them (maybe in the attic with a bit of luck).

I wondered about re-starting the collection one day, but would more likely go with GHQ's superior 1:2400 products if I do.

I do 1:2400 GHQ (Yes I am a wargamer).

I strive to get the research correct though, which is really why I am on this forum.

I give up, How do you post piccies on Here ?

Was going through my storage room recently and found a cigar box full of Davco moderns. I need to sort through them. I bought them in the early '80s at a place called The Ship Shop in Annapolis, MD.
