Buff would be very nice color combo, with off white hull. unfortunately I already painted dark yellow. however I can always tear the part out and repaint
to be precise i want my Naniwa color way to represent the day on Battle of Yalu. I have link japanese website on the bottom. It seems yellow it's the color... (or at least I hope it is...)

I have search the web from english to russian, now I am on to japanese.. (with help of google translate.....)

you were saying that, 1896, mast and funnel should be in Buff... do you suggest Tamiya (kind of sand color) or WEM? Buff...
and how about air vent?

There were 4, 10 barrels Nordenfelt gun, (2 in the front pilot house deck, and 2 at the back)

as for 1" Nordenfelt gun, how many barrel is this?? Is it double barrel. (located in between secondary 6pds gun)

new update ... I did ripe out the old mast and funnel, and made new mast and funnel with WEM Buff...

will work on Nordenfelt gun later...

Still on IJN pre-WW I cruisers:
I am working on the 1/700 Sealsmodels Itsukushima/Hashidate. Trying to establish the time period represented by the kit.

I see eleven 120mm guns and six 47 mm guns. This seems to be and entirely different rig from the Modelkrak kit.

Does anyone know anything about this kit?
