spring effect on PE

When i need to bend or to curve PE railing, what I have to do to avoid the spring effect...

(Controlled) overbending: use a former with a slightly smaller radius than needed. When springing back, the line should conform with the desired line.

Otherwise, heating the brass to a red glow and throwing it into cold water will soften it and hence take away the springiness. As it then can be easily bent, this may not be desirable, however, as the parts are easily put out of shape.

Exactly what weflack said, slight overbending works great, just do it a little at a time, until you get the radius you need.

I use a mouse pad. Gently roll a dowell over the railing and you get a perfect round, bend or angle.
Works for me.
