US Submarine information book
I unearthed a copy of the US Submarine information book recently amongst my clutter - it was published in 2000, and I was wondering if its worth me trying to sell it. I managed to keep fairly good records on the postwar boats (which are what I am mainly interested in), so wondered whether I should ebay this book?
Thanks
Joe

Is that this one? http://www.amazon.com/United-States-Sub ... 0883631032
Doesn't seem like it's worth much second-hand.

Hi,
No, its not that one, however that does look like a good book! The one I have is by Jim Christley and is basically a run down of each class (with silhouette of each) and the bulk of the book is taken up with a complete listing of every boat up til SSN22 - SSN23 and SSN774 were in build at the time. There is also a section on weapons (guns, torpedoes, missiles). I think I discovered it via the old subnet site.
Can take some photos if required?

Is it one of the Osprey books? Amazon lists three titles for the author: http://www.amazon.com/Jim-Christley/e/B001JP4U8S
If not, do you have the publisher and the book's full title?

Re: US Submarine information book
The full title is 'United States Naval Submarine Force Information Book' and the publisher was Graphic Enterprises of Marblehead...there is no ISBN. Hopefully these image links will work! The photos are not great, just quickly taken on an iphone.

Well that changes everything: http://www.amazon.com/United-States-nav ... B0006SBVFY
Nearly $400 on Amazon.
Although, Abebooks has one for only $26: http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDet ... D0%26y%3D0

Good heavens! I couldn't find any references to the book anywhere hence why I thought I'd ask on here. I do take those Amazon market place prices with a pinch of salt as I recently sold a couple of Aircraft books which were both listed over 100 on Amazon UK - in fact one of them was 255! They sold for 20 and 7!
Hmm, not sure what to do now!

Re: US Submarine information book
I'd probably start with setting a "Buy it Now" price of $300, and a minimum bid of around that point to see if anyone bites. You can provide a link in your eBay product description to the Amazon listings to "prove" to prospective buyers the book's value (assuming eBay doesn't have rules against posting links to other vendor sites). If no bites, then you can always start reducing the prices.

I am wondering if the Abe price is more realistic...still I may well give it a try on ebay, although I imagine it wouldn't be as popular over here as across the pond.
Thanks for the help,
