For those not in the know, early in this year, I signed a contract with Pen & Sword Books, to write a new volume on R.N. Naval Armament. The theory is/was to include all the R.N.'s open backed weapons from the period of WW I right through to 1945.

Many of you will have seen my illustrations in the Late John Campbells book from 1985 or thereabouts. Since then I have spent more hours on my drawing board, and elsewhere undertaking research.

Fantastic news I'm glad John is alive and well and his drawing in the early mornings hasn't diminished!

The submission date for the manuscript has been pushed back to March 2013. According to John, it was either this or short cuts. So, I'm happy he took the right decision!
