I look foward to it. Just as much as the Echo II. Is it so bad I budget funds for new models every month?

Georgi has a 2012 thread in this section as well, and someone on that threat attributed recent unresponsiveness to a hand injury Georgi may have had. His products seemed to be selling well before this apparent injury, so send him best wishes and expect a reply as soon as he is able!

Re: OKB Grigorov
I've stopped seeking out the OOP plastic sub kits because OKB's resin subs are more detailed, better scaled, and offer such an extraordinary range of classes and navies. I now ignore kits I would have payed dearly for on Ebay...NazarioSauro wrote:Thank You for the news![]()

Re: OKB Grigorov
I second this: with a little scratch and correcting minor errors the Grigorov subs are beautiful and accurate kits.D-Boy wrote:...I've stopped seeking out the OOP plastic sub kits because OKB's resin subs are more detailed, better scaled, and offer such an extraordinary range of classes and navies...
And his Akula/ Typhoon is the best in town at 1:700 scale.
Here is my "fleet" being fitted out (USN, Soviet/ Russian, French):

All from Grigorov, except second from left on back row: Soviet Foxtrot from AMW.

Re: OKB Grigorov
Hello,
OKB Grigorov temporarily closed his 1:700 scale range of submarines for direct sale today.
He wrote "temporarily" on his website, so we may still expect a return later... crossing our fingers...

Re: OKB Grigorov
Here:
http://www.okbgrigorov.com/
Look at 2.VII (today) : "Temporary only the 1/72 Resin AFV range is available directly from us"
Let's be optimistic: this means the 1:700 sub range is temporary not available... I guess

Could you share what you are correcting and scratching? Have you attempted any periscope/sensor additions?
Your photo shows a colorful and diverse fleet - one of the challenges of modeling all these subs is breaking the monotony and emphasizing the differences.

Re: OKB Grigorov
Some mistakes from my observations on the SSBN's.
D-Boy, first of all the USS Ohio class:

The flood opening under the silo bulge should extend the length of the bulge, but is only engraved along the center section.

The Delta V class submarine is missing some "doors/openings":

And the OKB model:

I have some doubts about how accurate the Delta IV submarine is also, is missing the extra hatches like Delta V and also some small details dosent seem right compared to pictures.
And here is a review of George Washington class from OKB some mistakes are noted in this review:
http://www.modelwarships.com/reviews/sh ... eview.html
Now back at Delta IV, the Delta IV from OKB I think is as built version, but it still is missing the "extra" hatches:
The "extra" hatches in orange circles.
The strange device on the real model(Seems to be removed later in their career from all Delta IV, and thats why Im saying is maybe an as built version):

And the the "extra" hatches( Sorry at the moment I cant find a bigger picture):

Also Delta IV had/has 5 blade propellers not seven:

And finally the 1/700 USS Lafayette class sub from OKB its is a late mode version lacks the external sonar.
All in all the Delta IV suffers a lot of accuracy mistakes(Deck items are missing too and some are in different positions), while the Delta V mistake is easy to fix, while the 3 US Navy's SSBN mistake is hard to fix them.
The OKB 1/700 Benjamin Franklin(you shall only use the seven blade propeller) is okay for an as built version. While the Delta I, II and the Yankee class(Yankee II and the Yankee Notch) is very accuate

Re: OKB Grigorov
Hi Giorgi
Ive ordered an 1/700 ARA Santa Cruz SSK to Pacific Front, but they are out of stock.
Are more on its way to PacFront?
I'd love to see that Sub in 1/350, full hull, as well as a 1/350 Type 209 and variants.
Saludos
