For those waiting on the new Moebius Skipjack kit, I was advised yesterday they are arriving now at distributors so buy 'em up fast so Moebius sees a hit on their hands. I'm not even a nuke fan & have one ordered after hearing what's being kicked around as follow up subjects that will make any fan of the Revell 1:72 sub kits blush with excitement.

Dave Meriman is starting work on a masts & other detail parts after completing the masters for the conversion kit. You can see some of his work in the Skipjack fan thread.

I saw on another website that Tower is already shipping orders as of Friday and that questions are appearing about the possibility of aftermarket kits to convert to a George Washington SSBN. Could be an interesting release.

Trumpeter has posted photos on their web site of the kit contents for the 1/200 Bismarck and the 1/700 Warspite 1915. A bonus kit of a visible turret with internal details is included with the Bismarck.

The Google translation of Trumpeter's text results in "war weariness" for Warspite. The kit appears to have identical sprues to the 1918 QE kit except for the nameplate. As far as detail differences we just have to wait until Hobby Search posts the instructions. As an example I would expect some differences in the ship's boats.

With the California now listed on their web site along with the other 3 Colorados (and the Tennessee rumored) is their any good intelligence as to how we will see then outfitted? The Californias had full cage masts at PH so if the Tennessee is in cards she could be as rigged in early 42 before the big refit. As I recall all the Colorados had full cage masts at PH. I hope we will see more than just main turret replacements.

Agreed! Can't wait to get my claws on this kit. Perfect size for an r/c conversion. Someone, on another board, suggested this one is close to the same size as the old, vacuformed 32nd Parallel kit of the Type-23. Well, duh!

Kidding aside -- this model would fit the back-seat of any car, yet is not so small as to be hide behind a slight chop at the local lake. I wish 'em luck and that they sell a million of these things.
