Oh, wow...it just keeps getting better and better! It is going to be a rewarding challenge to use this kit. The bull nose pieces are everything we could have asked for!

Excellent kits!! Now I need this in a set to convert the 1944 Missouri to the IOWA with the open bridge! Is that in the works?

Love the detail set for the New Jersey. Curious on how one attaches the decks to the model? Sorry for the newbie question.

Wooden deck is attached self adhesive on the back of sheet.
PE decks also are easily attaced with a small glue.

Hi All!

We've finalized all modern 4 Iowa Class sisters plus Missouri "BATTLESHIP" version.

http://pontosmodel.com/html/35011f1.html

All 5 ships are based on Tamiya 1/350 New Jersey kit (old or new version)

Now we are also preparing Missouri 1991 (and some more sisters) detail up set based on new Tamiya 1/350 Missouri Circa 1991 version kit.
This will come out at the same time with Tamiya Missouri release.

Hi Guys,
Kim,
I hate to do this, but if your heart is really in this thing, (and it sure looks like you are), how about using the WWII Missouri kit, in order to make the 1968 New Jersey? I know that GMM offered the large "rabbit ears" as seen on the 1968 BigJ, even though the p/e set was for the Modern BigJ kit.
One thing that gets missed a lot is the section of wood deck planking between the 5" twin mounts on the 02 level. This was missed by Tamiya on the 350th WWII Mighty Mo kit. These wood planked deck areas will have been prevalent on the WWII, Korean war era versions right on through the Viet Nam New Jersey.
You guys are doing a great job!
Tony

What am I missing? Whats the difference between the Missouri set 35009F1 and 35011F1, I tried to compare the contents shown for each but so far what ever it is it has eluded me.

35009F1 is Missouri 1991(yep Circa) version with almost stern decks are composed of PE plates with tiedown spots.
35011F1 is the latest version Missouri almost stern decks with wood deck same as Wisconsin.

If you would realize the "BATTLESHIP" Missouri, we recommend you to use 35011F1.

Thank you

I'm also interesting in Missouri upgrade kit. I'm stills not fully understand of 35011F1 configuration. My questions are:

1) Does it come from a real Missouri or imaginary Missouri from the movies?
2) If it's a real Missouri, at which year? My little knowledge about it is that it was decommissioned in 1992, only a year after 35009F1. It's looks a bit different to my eye so I wonder if there were many modification to a ship that soon to be retried.
3) Or it's a Missouri as of now modified for Museum ship?

Thanks so much for your great upgrade set. I wish that I can get them soon!
