First, the dark color - I used GSI tire black and start masking.

COOL! My first close-up look at this kit. What did you think of it? How about the fit?

Very impressive build. Surprising how merchantile the hull form looks compared with the pre war Soryu's and Shokaku's

I've just ordered the Aoshima Unryu and accompanying etch set so will do a review when it arrives.

The kit is very good and parts fit well. I think is better than Aoshima and pit Road.
The photo etching parts fit well too and is usefull for Pit road kit.

In my opinion, the only problem is there are too much small parts. I lost one plastic part and almost lost one photo etching (found after search the floor for few hours....). The lost plastic part gone to another dimension.

Aoshima and Pit road kit have less parts, so it�s more easy and fast to build.
