Hi all

DKM Gneisenau � Tamiya 1/700
In 1986 (Don�t remember) I build this ship. OOB, No photoetched, no airbrush. Beatiful?

And this is the new Gneisenau. Totally rebuilt.

Photoectched Eduard and W.E.M. for Scharnhorst class
Chains: Cooper wire
Paints: Humbrol
Mast: Needles 0,8 � 0,6 mm.
Main Gun A & B: Moldel Master Gun Barrel
Main Gun C: Needles 0,8-0,7
Single Secundary Guns: Needles
Sea base: Frank Sparh Method

People may scoff at those old Tamiya kits but man if they don't clean up nicely! They just need a little TLC and PE if you prefer. Nice job man :thumbs_up_1:

Hi again

I used Sodiun hydroxide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_hydroxide).

��� Caution !!!!. It requires hand and eye protection, and do it in a ventilated place.

Easy off oven cleaner is the same thing. Takes off model paint pretty well. Definitely use eye and skin protection,use with ventilation!
