Z-28 camouflage query.

Post by Michael Riddell »

Hi everyone;

I've started to build the 1/700 Trumpeter Z-28 and I'm curious to know what camouflage schemes she was painted in.

I have the Koope and Schmolke volume on German destroyers which shows her with a false bow wave and light (white?) areas on her funnels. There is also a picture of her alongside the Admiral Scheer which appears to show her in a dazzle scheme, but the angle isn't great.

Does anyone have any information on the dazzle scheme, if indeed she was ever painted in one?

Thanks in advance,

Mike. :smallsmile:
