I'm glad you're taking notes of the kit's ooopsies. I envision something like we did for the Dragon 1/350 Scharney. Did this ever went online here?
@ Perth ~ It's quite challenging keeping your pace. I hope it is not to late to give notice about the slightly wrong shape of the deck housing the Admiral's bridge. This deck was not symetrical as depicted by the kit. On either side of the Admiral's bridge you have the 3m rangefinders sitting in tubs on deck extensions. The aft edge of the starboard extension was angled aft, and not hitting the superstructure at right angle as on port side. This is just a minor detail though...
I have no measurments, but good plans do show this (and bad ones and pirate copies on accident).

No it's never to late I have noticed in some later photos there is a platform that extends from this tub to under the signal light. I've seen this to be on both sides. Is this what you mean?

Oh and I'm happy for the criticism, especially if it leads to a far more accurate build. Though still deciding on what path to go down with the bridge deck grating. There's enough spare decking from KA without the the laser prints so I can use these to make my own. What's the difficult thing, will be to match my grating with the rest of the KA stuff.

Just a note about the platform under the signal lamp peeps. This must have been added post Kiel. The photos of Bismarck taking on supplies in Kiel, shows her in full Baltic strip livery without these extensions.

I was referring to the AA/searchlight platform above the Admiral's bridge, stupid me (and it was asymetric on port, not on starboard, see the red line in my drawing)...
There may have been other changes to that platform.
hahaha not a problem Olaf, I havn't even looked at that deck yet.
Here's what I've done anyway with the admirals deck. I've added the extra platforms underneath each signal lamp which extend from the rangefinder tubs from some spare PE i have (this was a later addition so if you model the Bismarck pre-norway they aren't there. The photo's of the ship in Kiel clearly show that they aren't there. I also added are the lookout safety railing on the outer edge of the rangefinder tubs with the 'go go' dancer cages underneath

Between Olaf, Herr Nilsson, some others and you and your build Perth, you guys are a wealth of information that is invaluable to people like myself. So I thank you all for sharing that knowledge. Its the small things that make a better building experience, atleast for me.

Thanks, I guess for me it's as enjoyable researching the vessel during a build as much as the building itself. It's also interesting to find all the changes that happens within a short amount of time onboard a ship. I've experienced this myself in the navy but it's nothing like a fleet's battleship in time of war.

Here Here!! My (Much needed) knowledge of Bismarck is growing daily, thanks only to this thread!!
Compasses and night rangefinders added port and starboard. after gangway which will connect up to the funnel has been added. Pipes and electrical cable housings added on rear of structure. I've also added the braces each side of the turret mast leading from the Oberes Mastdeck (uppermast deck) to the base of the crane cradle catwalk. This isn't supplied in either the kit or the KA set. I just used brass rod which works brilliantly. Need to take note there will be another brace for this, this time leading up from the crane cradle catwalk to the underside of the control stand deck.
Lastly there are also two A-frame like structures one starboard and one port, again coming off the crane cradle catwalk leading directly outwards.

Is the door the same style like that on part C2, where the door rises above the horizontal section. here is a pic of part C2 for those that do not have the 1/200 Trumpeter Bismarck. Sorry for the blurryness.

I can see what you're thinking plastic, but if that was the doorway, the door itself would almost cover the whole facia of it. While small, I can't see any evidence of a door on whatever that is. Also there doesn't seem to be any other evidence to support it. The shelter bridge deck was a step lower but not enough of a step down to require the extra headroom molding that you suggest above the door.
Yes it's not the clearest of photos but if that was the door you would see something of it here. Following the shadow patterns from the light on the wreck it doesn't appear to be there.

Yep the gratings are KA. I've also removed the planking aft on the bridge. My attempts to recreate the gratings to match those of KA just didn't look quite right, so for now I've painted the deck steel and doesn't look so bad as it breaks things up a bit.
