How do you decide whether to us acrylic or enamel paints for a plastic model - are there any advantages and disadvantages ?
Should I use primer ?

It's mainly preference. I'd used enamels for a long time but have shifted to acrylics more because clean up is easier and I get better results when brushing too. I prefer Floquil or Polly Scale acrylics now.
So many models... So little time...
