I hope this is in the right place and am after a little advice. These days I buy all my paints from WEM and find the paints top quality very well priced and postage fast.
However there are paints that are almost always out of stock that I have never been able to get my hands on for years. Example the US Navy in WWII I want paints like 5N Navy Blue and the Neutral Haze Gray and Ocean Gray. Have a few different ships that need these paints.
Main problem is I found one supplier on Ebay (who I wont name to be fair) who appears to stockpile these paints but this shop is US based and the person will not post quote "half way around the world to Australia"
If this supplier is buying these paints from WEM to be always in stock then it suggests to me that others may be doing the same. I am really keen to get my hands on the WWII WEM colour coat paints and and information about who else supplies and stockpiles these paints will be greatly appreciated.
Who else supplies WEM colour coat paints?

Hi There
WEM is the producer of Colo(u)rcoats.
Supplies run short when they cannot obtain the pigments needed to produce their very specific colors.
Its not like they are ordering the paint from somebody else that other dealers are ordering from. Its my understanding that the popular colors are back in stock, the pigments having become available. I would suggest that you are better off buying directly from WEM when possible, assuming that its not available from a dealer in Oz.
Why not stock pile the paint yourself, when it is available. When un-opened, it doesn't go bad. Pigments might settle to the bottom of the tins, but that becomes a mixing problem.

I have always bought from WEM. The only thing that is baffling my is why someone can say they have heaps to sell on Ebay and refuse to post it out of the USA. Obviously if this person is buying stockpiles of it from WEM then its doing WEM good business, but its keeping it out of the hands of the people that actually want to use it. When I do buy tins I make sure I have 1 spare tin of each paint unopened.

Shipping to foreign countries can be a pain in the
and some companies will refuse business just to keep themselves from losing time and money on such a small profit.
